How do I take care of my silk scarf?

You want to make sure you always wash your silk scarf with a gentle detergent and then lay it flat to dry.  Do not put it in the washing machine.  After drying you will want to press it on the silk setting on your iron.  Of course, dry cleaning also works.

How can I tell if the scarf is actually made of silk?

Believe it or not, there are scarves that look like silk yet are actually made out of a man made fiber.  The way you can tell if something is silk is to take one of the threads from the fabric and light a match to it; if it is silk, the thread will ball up and then turn to ash, if it is a man made fiber it will turn into a hard ball.

Can I return my scarf if I am unhappy with it?

Our goal is to make sure you are happy with your purchase.  So, you may return the scarf in exchange for another scarf.  Please see the shipping and return policies for further details.

How can I tell if the Pashmina I have purchased is real?

There are scarves advertised on the internet as Pashmina that are actually made of man made material.  If you see a Pashmina wrap sold for $10, it is most likely not made out of Pashmina.  As you have discovered from this site, Pashmina is often blended with other fibers.  This makes the Pashmina more colorful and cheaper.  The best way to discern Pashmina is through the feel of the fabric itself.  The more pashmina is in a scarf the softer it is; some of the highest grade (yes, there are various grades of pashmina out there) pashmina is so soft it will fit through a wedding ring!  You can always try this test on a scarf that a vendor is telling you is 100% pashmina.
